![]() Revels is involved in a number of outreach activities. Every year, the Revels Chorus, along with Revels actors and musicians, perform at a number of events. Some of these events are designed to educate the general public about the music, language, and culture of the current Revels production. Other events are designed to bring the joy of Revels to those who cannot attend the performance. In addition, every Revels production involves children as singers, dancers, and actors. Not only do these children get a chance to perform, but they learn about a culture that is very different from theirs.
Revels Ensemble
Join the Revels Ensemble as they celebrate the winter solstice in French Canadian style performing songs and dances from the French Canadian show.
Revels Chorus Performances The Revels Chorus, actors, and musicians perform at hospitals, theaters, parks, pubs, as well as on radio and television. They get out into the community and spread the joy of Revels, interacting with the audience, and bringing laughter, music, and dance to all. This is an important part of the Revels Houston agenda.
Revels School Involvement Children have always been an integral part of Revels -- as participants, audience, as inspiration, and as our future. For each Revels production, a group of children is chosen from a Houston school to be a part of our children’s chorus. In addition children who may have been part of the chorus in a prior year or who have experienced Revels as audience members and would love to be a part of the production, come to the May auditions in the hope that they may gain a place in the children’s chorus. ![]() Schools involved with Revels Houston This year we welcomed children from may different schools to the Revels family: St. John's School, St. Thomas Episcopal, Awty International, Wilkerson, Parker, St. Anne's Annunciation, Home Schoolers, Huffman and Sam Jamison.
