ANNUAL WAKE*

Come celebrate the 'death' of winter in Revels Houston style at our Annual Revels Wake!

You are invited to join in the festivities as members of the Revels Ensemble and Chorus entertain you with songs and dances from previous Christmas Revels productions. This Revels Houston holiday tradition will include a 'Pub sing-a-long' with song sheets provided and interactive audience dancing and singing.

All are invited to join the performers to dance, sing and 'drive the cold winter away' whilst enjoying food, drink and the company of friends.

ANNUAL WAKE* 2008

The sixth Revels Wake took place on January 26, 2008. The Revels Chorus was joined by our intrepid comedians, Paul and Dwight, who, together with our MCEE, Ed Benyon brought the audience together for singing and dancing. One lucky participant had the opportunity to become, for one glorious moment, the “Lord of Misrule” and to partake in the eating of the “royal haggis”. A great evening was had by all. Join us for the next Revels Wake in January 2009 as we once again come together to celebrate the life and death of the Christmas show. Tickets go on sale in December 2008.

*Wake - a watch held over the body of a dead person and accompanied by great festivity. A joyful celebration of their existence.
