Open auditions for singers and performers, ages seven and up, for the 2026 Revels Houston production of The Christmas Revels: A German/Alpine Celebration of the Winter Solstice! 

The Christmas Revels is a family-friendly holiday tradition that joyfully celebrates community, culture, and the spirit of the season through song, dance, and storytelling.  This year's production is set in the Alpine regions of Germany and Austria.

The Christmas Revels is a memorized, full stage production, and as such it is important for all participants to practice and memorize materials on their own. 

Please come for your audition prepared to sing alone and with a mixed group; formal voice training is not a requirement to audition.

Required Rehearsals

Adults (ages 16+) meet one weeknight each week from September through December, plus a full-day staging rehearsal every three weeks. Children (ages 7 to 15) meet one weeknight every three weeks and participate in half of each Saturday rehearsal. Saturday rehearsals are required for all cast and chorus members.

Performance Week

All performers must be available December 14th-20th for tech rehearsals and performances. Tech rehearsals will be held from 6:00-10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The performance weekend includes five shows:
